Coatings Plus Announces New Products

LENEXA, KANSAS (September 3, 2015) - Coatings Plus welcomes our newest product line of innovative sealants by Franklin International.

Through more than 40 years of research and development, Franklin International formulated the Titebond brand of caulks and sealants to meet stringent VOC and indoor air quality regulations, without compromising superior product and quality performance.

COATINGS PLUS carries a full line of Titebond Metal Roof Sealant available in more than 50 colors to match today's popular metal roof, and metal siding colors. Metal Roof Sealant provides a superior weather tight seal against water, wind, dust and dirt with exceptional adhesion to Kynar coated metal materials, aluminum, steel, galvanized bonderized surfaces, plastics, glass, wood, masonry and PVC.

Titebond Weathermaster sealant for siding, windows and doors is available in over 175 colors including the James Hardie siding colors. It forms a permanently flexible, waterproof, weather tight, UV resistant seal ideal for windows, siding, doors, trim, gutters, vents and roofing with superior adhesion to aluminum, vinyl, glass, masonry, PVC, wood, fiberboard, brass and most common building materials.

These Titebond sealants are only two of the many quality caulks and sealants by Franklin International now available through COATINGS PLUS.

The second new item for sale at COATINGS PLUS is the DRIPLESS series of caulk guns. COATINGS PLUS stocks the ETS 3000 industrial grade 10 oz. gun and the ETS 6000 professional grade sausage gun. Both models are part of the Ergonomic Technology Series and feature rotating barrels, drip/no drip options, and an 18:1 application ratio. The ETS 6000 is adaptable to a standard 10 oz cartridge and comes with 6 nozzles in 2 sizes. It is suitable for high viscosity products.

In addition to these new product lines, COATINGS PLUS has added CHEM LINK's Roof Repair Tapes which come in three styles and colors for use on TPO, Hypalon, EPDM, aged PVC, rubber, metal, CPE, SBS, APP modifieds, asphalt BURs, coal tar BURs, tiles, shingles, aluminum, galvanized steel, gypsum board, wood, polyethylene, propylene, polystyrene, fiberglass, brick, concrete, masonry, OSB, and between dissimilar surfaces. Web Seal features a fabric backing perfect for application prior to coating the roof surface. Double Stick is 60 mills thick and adhesive on both sides. It can be twisted into a sticky rope and used to fill voids, gaps and holes like a backer rod. Roof Seal utilizes an advanced MicroSealant Technology, a 100% solids formulation of synthetic resins, thermoplastics and non-curing rubber with a built-in primer. It is bonded to a UV stable backing. Fix leaks fast with CHEM LINK's Roof Repair Tapes.

Lunch-n-Learn Program a Huge Success for Woman-Owned Distributer

LENEXA, KANSAS (March 5, 2013) - Coatings Plus, a woman-owned, local distributor of air barrier, roofing, waterproofing and related materials, recently sponsored the second in a series of informational seminars. This month’s topic was air and rain barriers as they relate to the building envelope. Heather Paschal, Building Science Specialist for Henry Company’s Building Envelope Systems Division, presented the program. Paschal is a member of AIA and CSI, has her LEED AP Certificate, and has extensive experience in project management.

Those in attendance represented the roofing industry, architecture, building design, general and specialty construction and related fields. The 22 attendees learned how air barriers differ from vapor barriers, what a breathable membrane is, how to incorporate the technology into a wall system, energy savings resulting from barriers and other pertinent information. CEU credits were available for attendance.

Many respondents agreed the seminar was worth while, informative and well presented. Jeff Johnson, LEED Green Associate and Quality Assurance Manager at A2MG, said that Paschal's presentation was also interesting and entertaining.

“I think it's great that Coatings Plus takes the initiative to provide these learning opportunities for those of us in the industry," Johnson said. "If I were to grade my experience today, I would give it an A+ and I look forward to attending future seminars at your facility.”

Following the hour long presentation, Coatings Plus served a barbecue luncheon and gave Paschal time to answer questions. A drawing was held for door prizes.
Additional seminars are planned this spring to introduce new products and increase awareness of new trends in construction and roofing related industries.
